Between the beaches of Foca and Ferradura is Ponta da Lagoinha, a rock formation framed by natural pools (at low tide) and native vegetation, including the white-headed cactus. With a beautiful view, the point is also constant scenario of study of scientists. On account of its morphological and geological characteristics, sculpted by the action of waves and tides, the environment was baptized “Himalayan Brazilian”, being a sample of the formation of the continent, occurred more than 500 million years ago.
