Fatima Neighborhood and Church Unit Bike Tour

Through the Bike Tour of the Fátima Neighborhood and Church Unit, people will get to know the way of life of Brazilians and learn about the urban design designed by Lucio Costa, the city’s inventor architect. The SQS 308 – Superquadra Sul 308 Court (located in Asa Sul) was chosen to be the city’s model court, so Lúcio Costa designed it and Burle Marx was in charge of its urbanism and landscaping and Banco do Brasil built it. On February 19, 1962 it was inaugurated.

Cine Brasília, besides being the venue for the Brasilia Film Festival, has in its program national film releases, foreign shows, thematic weeks, debates, book launches, paintings exhibitions, photographs, posters and others. ; exchange and cooperation with embassies, public schools and universities, contributing to audience formation projects and enriching our culture.

Inaugurated in June 1958, the Nossa Senhora de Fátima Church was the first church located in the residential sector. Raised at the request of Dona Sarah Kubitschek for a grace achieved in favor of the cure of her daughter. Athos Bulcão’s tiles – stylized figures of the Dove of the Divine and the Star of the Nativity – line the outer walls.
