Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and visit to Itaipu Dam

Stop At: Foz do Iguaçu International Airport, Rod. BR 469, Kms 16,5 – s/n – Aeroporto, Foz do Iguaçu – PR, 85863-900, Brazil
You’ll be met at the airport and taken directly to your hotel and vice-versa. A representative will greet you when you clear airport customs and at your hotel lobby. Leave all the work to the staff and just relax on a quiet and comfortable transportation.

Stop At: Itaipu Dam, Avenida Tancredo Neves 6702, Foz do Iguacu, State of Parana 85856-970 Brazil
After your arrival, once you ensure your transportation, you will visit the incredible Itaipu Hydroelectric Dam. Besides the production of energy, Itaipu also stands as a symbol of environment preservation. The company runs the Biological Haven Bela Vista, continuous reforestation programs and projects that foster fish production as well as wild animal reproduction. You will take the Panoramic tour, where you will watch a documentary film on the power plant and see the dam and spillway from the central observation deck (without entering the facility). As the ticket is not included, you have to purchase it on the spot.

Day 2: Iguassu Falls – Argentine Side

Stop At: Iguazu Falls, Iguazu National Park 3370 Argentina
It is time to behold nature phenomenon. Nothing in the world of water compares to, or is more impressive than the natural spectacle provided by the stunning group of 275 waterfalls that make up the Iguassu Waterfalls.

After hotels pick ups, departure with guide assistance, going to the currency exchange office to buy the Argentine currency necessary to enter the Argentine National Park, then stop at the customs where the passengers are required to migrate to the Brazilian customs (foreigners) and later at the Argentine Customs (everyone)

Once the tour started, every 30 min a train leaves to the superior part of the falls. First stop is the most traditional point, after the bus or van drive through the park until reach the point to start the trails and walkaways; in the end of the trail, you will find the Garganta do Diabo, the biggest waterfall in the park. Garganta do Diabo is a footbridge of 2080 meters that give access to one of the most beautiful natural spectacles on earth.

After a stop to behold and absorb all the nature and landscape around, Start the second part of the tour, Called Circuito Superior.
When you reach the top, you will be able to see all the high points of the park. If it is a sunny day, you will watch a gorgeous rainbow. There you can visit six observatories and spaces that you can relax and appreciate the view.

Day 3: Iguassu Falls – Brazilian side

Stop At: Parque Nacional do Iguacu, Rodovia Br-469 Km 1-8, Foz do Iguacu, State of Parana 85853-830 Brazil
Now it is time to see the other side of the Falls. After hotel pick ups, the bus head towards the Iguassu National Park. Embrained on the rocks with its 275 jumps, the Iguaçu Falls are the largest set of waterfalls in the world surrounded by the lush subtropical forest. The 01-kilometer course is done on foot with lookouts, lift bridges and souvenir shops. Wild animals such as the friendly Quati amuse tourists. Birds and butterflies give a special color to the place. After the visit to the Park on the Brazilian side, the passengers return to the bus that will take them to their respective hotels.

Day 4: Foz do Iguaçu City Tour and Departure:

Stop At: Foz do Iguacu, Foz do Iguacu, State of Parana
Foz do Iguaçu is a city with a lot of history. We will pass by Downtown of Foz do Iguaçu and its historical buildings such as the first airport, mother church, first college, gastronomic avenue, shopping center among others . After you will make stops in the Muslim Mosque, Buddhist Temple and Ecomuseum of Itaipu.

Stop At: Mosque of Omar Ibn Al-Khattab, Rua Meca 599 Jardim Central, Foz do Iguacu, State of Parana 85864-410 Brazil
You’ll go to the majestic Omar Ibn Al-Khatab Mosque built in 1983. It is no wonder a Mosque was built in Iguassu Falls, since it is proportionally the biggest Islamic community in the country.

Learn about the history of Buddhism and its teachings. There you can catch views from the distant city centers of Ciudad del Este and Foz do Iguaçu.

Stop At: Itaipu Ecomuseu, Avenida Tancredo Neves 6001 Itaipú, Foz do Iguacu, State of Parana 85867-000 Brazil
After Pick up at the hotels, start this magnificent tour that contemplates visit to the Ecomuseum of Itaipu: a great option to know the history of Itaipu. Scenarios faithful to the past, electronic totems and a giant model are part of this cultural space. The circuit is divided into modules that depict since the occupation of the plant’s area on the Brazilian side to conservation projects conducted by the binational. Among the surprises visitors can enjoy thematic areas of water and energy, as well as a replica of the axis of a turbine at work – you can hear the characteristic sounds of the heart of the plant. The place also has an impressive panel created in homage to the thousands of workers who helped build the dam. There are 4,500 photos of the workers in the 3×4 format.
