What makes Itaipu Iluminated a unique experience ?
The visit takes place on the Brazilian side and begins with a video shown in a movie theater at the Visitor Center, which tells the story of the construction of the dam. The video is around 10 minutes long. Accompanied by a guide, the tour continues on a double-decker bus around the outside of the dam with three stops for panoramic viewing. In addition to the privileged view of the spillway at the top of the dam, the route also allows contact with nature and beautiful landscapes within the Itaipu Tourist Complex. We ended up moving from one country to another, since the Plant is in Brazil and also in Paraguay. The Itaipu dam is 7,919 meters long and 196 meters high, and is a world leader in the production of clean and renewable energy. The tour ends by passing next to the plant and over the dam, where the visitor can admire the view of Lake Itaipu. Ideal for the whole family.
