Itinerary
Skip the cable car, we are going to hike the Sugar Loaf mountain! This experience starts at the General Tiburcio square. From there we will walk through the Claudio Coutinho lane, which borders the south face of Sugar Loaf and Urca hill. After we get to the bottom of the east face of Sugar Loaf, our hike to the top starts. The hike mixes walks on rocky terrain and an easy rock climbing section (about 45 feet) wich is perfect for beginners as a first experience. After the climb we hike to the summit, passing through beautiful viewer points with an unique perspective from the city of Rio de Janeiro. Definetely this is the best and most rewarding way to get to the top of this iconic mountain!
