Itinerary
Discover Cinelândia Square, a place surrounded by important historical buildings in Rio and the Lapa neighborhood, known as the city’s bohemian neighborhood.
What we will do:
Our meeting point is at Cinelândia subway station, where you will meet your local guide.
At the square, we will tell you the history of the square and the historical buildings around like the Municipal Theater, the Nacional Library, the National Museum of Fine Arts, and Pedro Ernesto Palace (the City Council).
We will walk towards Lapa through the beautiful Teatro Riachuelo, stop in front of Cecilia Meireles’s room and talk a little bit about the work and life of this famous poetess.
Then we will go to Selarón steps and continuing we will make a stop in front of the famous Arcos da Lapa for photos and finish our tour entering the modern Metropolitan Cathedral of Rio de Janeiro.
