After the pick at the hotel we will head to The São Bento Monastery, built in 1671 by the Benedictine Order. It is a gorgeous and rich building and its interior is covered in gold powder. Every Sunday the Benedictine monks present the traditional Mass in a Gregorian chant at 10:00am sharp.

Santa Teresa, a bucolic district on a hillside and Rio’s bohemian neighborhood, is also known for its crooked houses, steep streets and tile decorated stairways. The famous Santa Teresa’s tram (when available) connects Downtown Rio to the heart of Santa Teresa and has been preserved as a piece of history promoting a quick, fun and cheap way to get to one of the quirkiest part of the town

The Hippie fair has become a mandatory touristic visit. Once there the visitors will find bronze and wood sculptures, oil paintings, silver objects, hand-painted porcelain, fabric, leather clothes, shoes, handbags, several souvenirs and typical Brazilian food and handicraft of all kind.
