4-Days Experience at Salvador de Bahia, Savour the cultural fusion – Brasil

Salvador Trip Overview

The bubbling melting pot of cultural influences and criss-crossing heritage which runs throughout Salvador de Bahia is fascinating to uncover for anyone seeking to grasp this great city. Get ready to enter the music and dance, food, raucous festivals, religion and ever-popular art scene of Bahia which all provide an enchanting snapshot during your tour.

A ‘journey through the ages’ is best begun in the iridescent district of Pelourinho, a UNESCO world heritage site where colorful houses, atmospheric streets and living history are the norm! Visiting the rainbow-like displays on show at São Joaquim’s bustling market is also a must, the perfect place to both haggle your way to a bargain (like a true baianos).

Bahia’s, and indeed Brazil’s African traditions are integral to the identity of the country, with an insight into that particular history and heritage coming through an authentic dance performance at the legendary Miguel Santana Theatre.
