Considered one of the symbols of Santos, Monte Serrat is known for the Sanctuary of The saint of Monte Serrat, the patroness of the city, which receives thousands of faithful on September 8th. It is one of the main landmarks in Guarujá, considered the starting point. Known as Maluf Hill due to Edmundo Maluf, an industrialist from São Paulo who had a house on the hillside and hosted parties on Campina Hill.
