This is a unique opportunity to visit the home of a local and explore traditional culture and cuisine. Clovis and his family, wife, Luciana, and son, Diego, live in a lovely, spacious and tastefully decorated home in central São Paulo. The house is built on a hill, so while there are no steps at the entrance, there are several steps inside the house leading to the kitchen and down to the dining room. Clovis is excited to introduce travelers to traditional Brazilian food, specially Paulistano food, inspired by his expertise and passion on the subject. This includes some dishes whose recipes were developed in São Paulo between the 18th and 19th centuries. Join Clovis in his kitchen and learn to prepare 2 Brazilian dishes. As you cook together, Clovis will tell you about the seasonal ingredients he uses in his cooking and the various regional cuisines that make up Brazil’s diverse gastronomy. You can expect the cooking lesson to last about 1.5 hours before you sit down to eat.

Sample Menu

• Arroz De Suã – a kind of paella made with red rice and pork
